The climate needs saving also after COVID-19! We’re already looking ahead to see how we can support local, climate-smart companies that will help stop climate change also after the pandemic has passed. So, we decided to offer a free pilot period in The Donut app all spring!
Spark Sustainability’s app The Donut is a tool to encourage and support individuals on the journey towards a one planet lifestyle. It inspires climate-smart habits and connects conscious consumers with low-carbon service providers, hence offering concrete help with taking climate action while supporting future-friendly businesses.
As many businesses are currently highly affected by the coronavirus, we want to leverage The Donut to offer all small, local and climate-smart businesses extra visibility in the app all spring.
We’re opening a free pilot through which businesses can raise awareness about their climate-smart offerings. You might not be able to get customers within the next couple of months, but you can make your brand known so that once the need for social distancing is over, people know where to find your products and services. It is also possible to get direct sales for example through gift cards or through increased home delivery sales.
Now we need the help of the wonderful Spark Community: which businesses offer services or products that should definitely be featured in The Donut? Nominate them now! Think second-hand shops, bike repair shops, rental services, vegetarian or vegan cafés and food shops, cobblers, etc.

What, when, where?
We’re offering free visibility in The Donut for climate-smart products and services. The free pilot will run all Spring. We’re looking for businesses all over the Nordics — a feature to sort actions according to your geographical whereabouts is in the works!
